Camilla Greene was a high school teacher of English for over twenty-five years in New York City, Hempstead, NY, New Haven and Stamford, Connecticut. During her teaching career she took three sabbaticals from classroom teaching. She was a Senior Fellow at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, a director of Critical Friends Group Training at the Center for Effective School Practice at Rutgers University, and the director of a small charter school in Connecticut. As an anti-racist leader and as a Coach for Educational Equity, Camilla is a consultant with The Black Alliance for Educational Options, The Center for Equitable and Effective Leadership, and the San Francisco Coalition of Essential Small Schools. Mrs. Greene’s goal is to do whatever it takes to transform the educational experiences of each disengaged and marginalized student in public, private, and religious schools.
Mrs. Greene serves on the Board of Trustees of the Seven Generations Charter School in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, and she serves on the Resurrected Community Development Corporation in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In addition to being a proud native of the Bedford-Stuyvesant community in Brooklyn, Mrs. Greene is a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
