Elaine Rector started teaching in 1975. Since then she has taught at all levels, elementary, middle school, high school and college, worked for the Oregon Department of Education and served as an administrator. She has over 30 years of experience as a provider of professional development and presenter at state and national conferences. She has also worked with schools as a Literacy Coach, Humanities Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator, Community School Liaison, Staff Development Coordinator and School Change Coach. Currently, Elaine is an educational consultant focusing on improving teaching and learning through her work development shared leadership, addressing equity and social justice issues and improving instructional practice. She teaches courses for both Lewis and Clark College and Willamette University and consults with CEEL. Elaine is committed to creating public education that works for all students and families.
